Job Opportunity: School Accountant
The Frontier Pioneer School is currently seeking a dedicated individual to fill the position of School Accountant. This role will involve providing financial expertise, ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions, and offering valuable financial advice.
Key Responsibilities:
– Maintain daily updates of all financial data and assist in finalizing school accounts.
– Establish close communication with external auditors for year-end audits.
– Consistently report all financial data according to predetermined timelines.
– Timely verification, processing, and accounting of payables and receivables.
– Handle petty cash and reconcile cash and bankbooks.
– Process salaries and wages and handle other payroll-related matters.
– Coordinate and ensure punctual payment of all statutory transactions.
– Regularly review and analyze financial data with School Directors.
– Support the budgeting process and oversee local purchases in strict compliance with etims requirements by KRA.
– Prepare and coordinate school-specific audits.
– Collaborate with service providers and suppliers to streamline procurement processes.
– Perform additional tasks as assigned by School Directors.
– Undertake any other duties within your capabilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
– CPA-K certification is advantageous.
– Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Accountant.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Well-organized and dedicated.
– Creative and energetic.
– Strong moral values and discipline.
